Virsa - The Heritage Farm approved under the Farm Tourism scheme by Punjab Heritage and Tourism Promotion Board,Government of Punjab under Gold category vide Certificate No: FTS/2022/00001 Dated: 19/10/2022.

Punjab, the geo-cultural construct of the Five Rivers, has a rich history spanning more than five thousand years. It has been a cradle of the Harappan culture, which is one of the earliest civilizations of the world. Owing to its strategic location, it has been a melting pot of cultures of diverse races that frequented it in days of yore.

The Punjabi Diaspora has showcased the world the Punjabi values; the sports and the Punjabi cinema has given a great leverage to the popularity of Punjabi culture.

The Kohrian Sikh family refers to the Sikh peasantry class which originated from the village of Barki, specifically in the Kohrian area, located in the Majha Doab region of the River Ravi, just outside Lahore.

The partition of India in 1947 resulted in mass displacement and the consequent trauma demonstrated remarkable resilience among those affected. Sardar Diljit Singh Kohri played a crucial role in the Rehabilitation efforts and settled in the arid land skirting the River Ghaggar in the village Bakarpur after Displacement from native village . His relentless efforts reaped rich harvest in the region with roads connectivity , water supply , bus transport and other amenities in the 1960’s.

The resilience displayed by the forefathers affected by partition served as a powerful example of the human spirit's ability to adapt and overcome adversity.

Bhupinder Paul Singh the younger Son of Sardar Diljit Singh , ventured into the realm of Progressive Farmers . Assisted by his wife Dr Amandeep Kohri who is passionate about preserving Ancestry and endeavours to document them to create an enduring legacy.
